Last fruit ... first frost!

After a couple of days at the NEC this week on the BHKC Knit 'n Natter stand, I was happy to go nowhere yesterday.

Don't get me wrong, I love the crowds and the queries too.
Two days of it were good, and Harrogate is fast approaching.

But it was getting colder outside, and in the afternoon we went out into the garden to do some tidying up.

We picked the last of the strawberries, and a few raspberries.

The tomatoes in the garden and greenhouse were demolished, and now we have a small bowl full of red and yellow fruit.

Talk about clever timing.
Late last night we watched fireworks against a very clear sky.
So it wasn't at all surprising this morning to find that we have had our first frost.
The lawn was fairly well covered in white, and there were odd patches on other plants.

So here we are, half way through November, and I finally get myself into gear trying to put an entry into the Accessorise!2006 competition.
I have been thinking, and thinking, and occasionally putting needles to yarn.

And then there are the nights I have lain awake thinking again (not for long as I am usually tired).

The deadline of 1st December is fast approaching, and still I have no entry.
So I'd better get off here, make the bread, and do some more knitting.
